Mayer Hoffman McCann P.C. (MHM) and CBIZ MHM, LLC proudly announce Andy Burczyk has been recognized with an award for his years of involvement with charitable and service organizations in the community. This award was presented at the annual CBIZ & Mayer Hoffman McCann P.C. Annual Conference in front of an audience of CBIZ Managing Directors and MHM Shareholders from more than 30 offices across the country.
“This annual award was started to not only recognize those individuals who are making significant contributions to the communities in which they live and work, but also to stress internally to all of our personnel the importance and value in doing so. It is our responsibility as a company and as individuals to get involved and make a difference. Andy has clearly demonstrated that,” stated Chris Spurio, Chief Operating Officer of the Financial Services division of CBIZ.
Andy is actively involved with a number of charitable and civic organizations in the Kansas City community. Some of his roles include Children’s Therapeutic Learning Center as Honorary Board Liaison; National Association of Basketball Coaches as Board Treasurer; United Way as Tocqueville Society Member. Additionally, Andy has had a deep devotion to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Kansas City. He joined its Board in 2004 and has not only provided financial support, but has given a significant amount of his time serving on a number of committees and task forces with the Boys & Girls Club. Over a number of years, Andy has chaired the steering committee of Kids Night Out, the premier fundraising event of the Boys & Girls Clubs. Under his leadership, donations and attendance have increased each year to benefit the youth members (ages 5-18).
“The Boys & Girls Club of Greater Kansas City is very proud of and honored by Andy’s service on behalf of the 1,000 extraordinary young people served by the organization daily. He is so well deserving of this recognition recently bestowed upon him and we send our most enthusiastic congratulations! We are fortunate and thankful to have his long term, committed and effective involvement and leadership,” said David Smith, President of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Kansas City.
“We also are very proud of Andy for his longstanding dedication and commitment to community involvement” stated Bill Hancock, President of Mayer Hoffman McCann, who along with Rick Mills, President of the KC CBIZ MHM, LLC office, nominated Andy for the award. “He leads by example and is certainly a role model for our younger professionals.”
Burczyk joined CBIZ & Mayer Hoffman McCann in 2007 and is located in the Leawood, KS office. He also serves on Mayer Hoffman McCann’s Executive Committee, is a member of the firm’s Professional Standards Group, and serves as the Attest Practice Leader for the Midwest Region.
